Who Is Meghan Hooper?I have been teaching high school Physics since 2007 and joined the Ephrata High School science department in 2014.
I earned my Bachelors in Education from Penn State University with certifications in both Physics and Mathematics. I also have Masters of Educational Leadership from Saint Francis University and will soon complete an Online Teaching Endorsement from Millersville University. My husband, Wayne, is a sixth grade teacher at Ephrata Intermediate School. The above photo of us was taken at Chihuly Gardens and Glass in Seattle, one of the most amazing places I have ever seen! |
Why the Mrs. Hooper Memo?Ninth grade is challenging for many reasons. In their first year of high school, many students realize that their classes are more difficult and their teachers expect them to assume more responsibility for completing their assignments and studying for tests.
I have found that it really helps when parents are "in the loop" and can support and encourage their children along with me. I prefer to be proactive when it comes to parent communication. This online newsletter is a way for me to keep you informed about what is going on in our Foundations of Science classes - in terms of both content (what we're learning) and structure (how we're learning). |
